I initially chose a career in Social Care to make a difference and work with individuals to improve their lives and empower them. To have a positive influence on the lives of other people, which is something I feel ARCS helps me achieve each day.
I joined ARCS in September 2020, after being referred by a friend who was working with ARCS at the time. Since joining, my experience has been extremely positive. Our services are constantly expanding and everything we do is very much centered on the principles of teamwork, without which, our success would not be possible.
Since joining, I have been constantly supported by the management team at ARCS. I am the student placement coordinator for ARCS and have progressed from key worker to case management. This progress is a result of constant learning and development which was recognized by the management team in ARCS. The management team ensures to regularly conduct check in's, supervision and team meetings, all of which combined ensure an excellent line of communication between team members and management.
I hope to continue my professional development with ARCS, with aspirations of securing a management role in the near future, something I feel is very much within reach given the support and encouragement provided by the team here at ARCS.
