Clodagh joined ARCS in September 2021 and has since become a key part of our Tipperary-based services. You can learn more about Clodagh, her reason for choosing a career in social care and her journey with ARCS so far!
What made you choose a career in Social Care?
I chose a career in social care as I wanted to make a difference and maintain people's independence. I wanted to provide personal and practical support to help people live their lives. This is something I get the opportunity to do each day with ARCS. My experience so far with ARCS has been extremely positive, it has helped to enforce my reasons for wanting to start a career in social care.
Since joining ARCS, how has your experience been to date?
I joined ARCS in September 2021 and since joining my experience has been full of continuous learning and development! Having initially started my journey with ARCS as a Support Woker, I have progressed to become a Social Care Worker and more recently a Key Worker.
This progression was made possible through a combination of my own desire to continue to develop professionally and constant support and encouragement from the management team here at ARCS. Management provides ongoing encouragement and supports such as supervision and team meetings to ensure that all staff are listened to and encouraged in their roles at Arcs.
The culture here at ARCS is another aspect I have enjoyed since joining and also something which I feel helped me to continue my career progression. The team at ARCS are extremely supportive, encouraging and enjoyable to work with!
What are your career aspirations with ARCS?
I hope to continue to grow and learn in my current position and look forward to progressing in my professional development and role within ARCS in the future. I believe the management team here at ARCS alongside our team, will make this both possible and enjoyable.
